50-Year-Old Chad Jones Died In A Two-Vehicle Accident On LA 429 (Ascension Parish, LA)

The Louisiana State police responded to a two-vehicle crash on August 1 on LA 429 at Roddy Road in Ascension Parish. The victim was identified as Chad Jones, 50, from Gonzales, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the LSP.

The preliminary reports found that Jones was driving south on Roddy road in a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro. Jones collided with a 2003 Toyota Camry driven by Jacquel Wade,25, heading west on LA 429. 

Wade rear-ended Camaro after failing to pause at the stop sign. Jones sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead by the officials. Wade was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.  

No signs of impairment. A toxicological sample was collected from both the drivers.

The crash is under review.
