48-year-old David Ducoing killed after a two-vehicle crash in Riverside (Riverside, CA)

Authorities identified 48-year-old David Ducoing, of Riverside, as the man who was killed following a traffic collision on Monday in Riverside.

The fatal two-vehicle crash happened at around 8:15 p.m. on Tyler Street and Wells Avenue. According to the investigation reports, Ducoing was eastbound on his scooter, going to La Sierra Hills. Ducoing entered the intersection as well as the southbound 2015 Chevy Suburban driven by a 29-year-old driver, also from Riverside. The Chevy and the scooter crashed into each other as they entered the intersection.

The officers did not confirm which vehicle had the right of way. Ducoing succumbed to his injuries after the crash. The SUV driver remained unharmed and immediately stopped after the collision. The driver cooperated with the investigators and was not arrested. It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
