According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a hit-and-run accident occurred in El Paso on Thursday. The crash happened at the 7400 Block of N. Mesa.
According to the investigators, an unknown vehicle and a 44-year-old were involved in the collision. The unknown driver was traveling at an unknown speed and struck the pedestrian at an undesignated crosswalk area.
44-year-old Dan Jarrett Parkman was identified as the unknown pedestrian who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead.
According to the reports, it is unclear what caused the crash and if drugs or alcohol were a factor involved. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
