42-year-old Laura Rodriguez dead after a single-vehicle accident on Mt. Lemmon (Tucson, AZ)

On Sunday morning, 42-year-old Laura Rodriguez lost her life while her 2-year-old daughter sustained injuries after a single-vehicle accident on Mt. Lemmon in Tucson.

The preliminary reports showed that 42-year-old Laura Rodriguez was traveling down the mountain that morning along with her 2-year-old daughter, who was sitting in the back seat. The reports further revealed that the car drove over an embankment and veered off the side of the mountain.

Both she and her daughter were thrown from the car due to the impact. Authorities confirmed that Rodriguez died as a result of the crash and the girl was taken to the hospital with non-fatal injuries. No other details are available.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
