Authorities identified 34-year-old Tiffany Tietz, from Middleville, as the woman who lost her life and 53-year-old Lawrence VanPutten, of Freeport, who suffered injuries following a traffic collision on March 26 in Kent County.
The fatal single-vehicle crash took place at about 5 p.m. on 84th Street SE in Caledonia Township. According to the investigation reports, Tietz was driving on 84th Street when she failed to maintain control of her pickup truck and it flipped over near Whitneyville Avenue.
Tietz suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. A passenger in the truck, Lawrence VanPutten, was transported to a hospital in stable condition. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation is continuing.
