Authorities from Natchitoches Parish state that a man in his thirties died after being thrown from his pickup truck. The incident reportedly took place on Monday.
A little before 8 p.m., Louisiana State Police Troop E responded to a deadly one-vehicle crash that took place on Highway 156., suffered life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene by the coroner.
A preliminary investigation reveals that Johnson was driving a 2019 Ford F-150 and heading west on Highway 156 while moving over the speed limit. He drove off the road, proceeded to cross the highway, and hit a tree.
The victim, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the truck.
The fatal crash remains under investigation. Toxicology samples have been taken to conclude if intoxication was a factor.
