The Nevada State Police reported a single-vehicle crash on Monday.
The accident occurred on State Road 159 just west of Arroyo Street in the Red Rock National Park Loop at around 11:48 p.m.
According to the officials, a silver Honda Civic had been driving at a high speed when it approached the loop and failed to stay in the right lane. The driver tried to overcorrect when the Honda veered into the westbound travel lane. This caused the vehicle to rotate and re-enter the eastbound lane only to overturn after moving down an incline.
The driver had been thrown from the car as it toppled. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other passengers in the car.
The cause of the fatal accident is still being investigated.
It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
