The Los Angeles Police reported a hit-and-run accident on Saturday.
The officials stated that the crash happened in the 2400 block of Fern Dell Drive at around 2:30 p.m.
The officials confirmed that a 70-year-old man was killed in the crash.
The officials reported that 31-year-old Sonia Sovereign was traveling in a blue 2006 Lexus when she allegedly ran over the man.
The paramedic arrived at the scene and took the man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead by the officials.
Los Angeles Police officer J. Chaves stated that Sovereign was detained with charges of murder, hit-and-run resulting in death, and driving or taking a vehicle without consent.
She remains in jail with $2 million bail according to the officers.
