Authorities identified 31-year-old Jonathan Christensen, of Fernley, as the man who lost his life following a single-vehicle accident on May 5 in Sparks.
The fatal motorcycle crash took place at approximately 6:32 p.m. on Interstate 80 near Derby Dam on Thursday. According to the investigation reports, Christensen was going west on Interstate 80 when he veered to the right to avoid tire debris in the fast lane.
The motorcycle then continued across the other lane and crashed into the guardrail. The impact of the collision threw the man from his black 2009 Honda DBR600. Jonathan Christensen succumbed to his injuries at the scene. No other details are available.
An investigation is continuing.
