According to the Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident was reported on Sunday in Anderson County.
The officials stated that two vehicles were involved in a crash on Highway 84, west of Palestine.
The officials stated that a 2015 Nissan Sentra crashed head-on with a 2013 Ford F350.
The driver of the Nissan, 31-year-old Edrey Hernandez Ramiez of Lindale was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials stated that David Trawick, 45 of Jacksonville was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the officials.
