30-year-old Miguel Velazquez approached the public to help him find the suspect who injured him in a hit-and-run accident.
The victim was riding in a blue moped after finishing his shift at a restaurant when he stopped at the intersection of Flower and 3rd street.
A blue Mini Cooper was travelling south on the same street. He hit Miguel and slowed down for a bit but later fled the scene.
Good Samaritans helped Miguel to get him to the curb safely.
According to the officials, Miguel suffered a broken wrist and a few bruises.
The investigating team stated that the Mini Cooper may have some damage to the front end of the vehicle.
The crash is still under investigation as the suspect is on the run.
Police have declared that a reward of $25000 will be issued for any information regarding the crash.
