3 people injured after a hit-and-run accident in Spokane (Spokane, WA)

Three people received injuries following a two-vehicle accident Thursday in Spokane.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run collision took place at the intersection of North Lidgerwood Street and East Wellesley Avenue at about 11 a.m. The early reports showed that the suspect driver did not yield to police, but instead headed south on N. Lidgerwood at a high speed. The suspect reportedly went through two stop signs and plowed into another vehicle on North Lidgerwood and East Empire Avenue.

The suspect’s vehicle then slammed into a power pole and came to a rest in a neighbor’s yard. The suspect then left the scene, leaving two passengers behind. First responders transported both passengers to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The driver of the other vehicle that was hit incurred only minor injuries. Authorities are actively searching for the suspect. No other details are available.
