The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash that claimed three lives. The crash happened on I-475 between Eisenhower and Thomaston roads at 2 p.m.
A black Chevrolet SUV drove off the road and hit a tree on I-475 southbound, according to Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones. The vehicle was engulfed in flames following the collision.
Coroner Luanne Stone declared the death of all three victims.
It is unclear what caused the accident. Details relating to the crash are limited.
