28-year-old Anthony M Stalder and 48-year-old Jeremy S Richards dead after a crash in College Place (College Place, WA)

Authorities identified 28-year-old Anthony M Stalder, from Richland, and 48-year-old Jeremy S Richards, of La Grande, as the victims who lost their lives following a head-on collision Tuesday morning in College Place.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash took place a little before 11 a.m. on Highway 125 in the College Place city limits approximately 50 miles southeast of Pasco. The preliminary investigation showed that Anthony M Stalder was traveling south in the northbound lane of Highway 125 when he slammed into a pickup.

The Econoline work truck that Stalder was driving had been stolen, officials said. The pickup was driven by Jeremy S Richards. Reports further added that Stalder was going south in a Ford Econoline truck and Richards was traveling north.

On arrival, emergency personnel rushed Stalder to Providence St. Mary’s Medical Center in Walla Walla where he later succumbed to his injuries. He was not buckled up at the time of the collision. Richards, who was wearing a seat belt, was declared dead at the scene. No other details are available.

The crash remains under investigation.
