27-Year-Old Tyler Nicole Girard Died In A Two-Vehicle Crash On U.S. Hwy 167 (Lafayette Parish, LA)

Louisiana State Police Troop I responded to a two-vehicle crash that claimed a life. The crash happened on U.S. Highway 167 near Bourque Road in Lafayette Parish. 

The victim was identified as Tyler Nicole Girard, 27, of Breaux Bridge. 

Girard was driving a 2017 Hyundai Veloster east on Bourque Road when he failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with a 2007 Dodge Dakota traveling south. When Girard’s Hyundai was struck on the driver’s door, it continued off the roadway east of US 167 and crashed into a shed at a private residence.

The Lafayette Parish Coroner’s Office pronounced Girard dead at the scene. Officials said that Girard was restrained during the crash. 

Toxicology reports are still pending. However, the other driver indicated no alcohol in his system. 

No further details regarding the crash are currently available. 

The crash is being investigated.
