On Friday, 23-year-old Jordan Mickell was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Smith-Enke Road between Province Parkway and Desert Greens.
As per the initial information, at about 4 a.m. Friday, 23-year-old Jordan Mickell was reportedly walking in the lane of traffic when an unknown vehicle struck the pedestrian. On arrival, Maricopa officers conducted CPR, but Mickell was declared deceased at the scene.
Maricopa and Pinal County officers looked into the accident and do not believe that the driver who hit Mickell was impaired at the time of the collision. Pinal County medical examiner personnel took the body from the crash scene. The lanes impacted were only for eastbound traffic on Smith-Enke. Traffic could redirect through Rancho El Dorado to go around the accident.
