According to the California Highway Patrol, a hit-and-run accident occurred in Coachella on Monday. The crash happened near Dillon Road and Grapefruit Boulevard at around 7:20 a.m.
According to the investigators, a 23-year-old and an unknown train were involved in the collision.
A 23-year-old Andre Alabado was identified as the pedestrian who was struck by the train. The officials stated that Andre suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Some portions of the area near Dillon Road and Grapefruit Boulevard are blocked for further investigation. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
