On Tuesday, 21-year-old Leeleanne L Perkins, from Glenmora, lost her life after being struck by a vehicle near Red River Bank.
As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place near the Red River Bank on Hwy 165 at about 5:30 p.m. The preliminary investigation showed that Leeleanne L Perkins was trying to help an animal lying in the roadway, when she got hit by a dark-colored Dodge Pickup.
Perkins suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. According to the authorities, routine toxicology tests are pending at this time. No other details are immediately available.
