20-year-old Khalil Williams dead after his vehicle rear-ended a semi-truck in Harrison County (Harrison County, TX)

On Tuesday night, 20-year-old Khalil Williams, from North Richland Hills, lost his life following a rear-end crash near Hallsville.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle collision took place at about 8:40 p.m. on Interstate 20 in the outside lane, approximately two miles outside Hallsville. The early reports showed that the driver of a semi-truck with towed trailer was heading westbound on I-20. On the other hand, Khalil Williams was approaching from behind at a high rate of speed as he moved from lane to lane weaving through traffic.

As Williams was in the inside lane, he reportedly made an aggressive lane change and crashed into the semi-truck’s towed trailer from behind. Williams suffered major injuries and was declared dead at the scene by the officials. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
