According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident was reported in Mission Viejo on Saturday. 

The officials stated that the crash happened at around 12 p.m. at the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Jeronimo Road.

The officials reported that at least 9 vehicles were involved in the crash. 

Two people were transported to the local hospital with serious injuries according to the investigation report. 

The identities of the victims were not provided by the officials. 

The officials did not disclose whether there were any other casualties. 

No additional information regarding the condition of the victims was provided.
