According to the Los Angeles Police Department, an 8-year-old girl and her mother were killed in a pedestrian accident in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Approximately at 1:30 p.m., an SUV was travelling in the 1700 block of West 83rd Street, just east coast of Western Avenue. The vehicle struck an 8-year-old girl and her mother who were standing at the bus stop. Both of them were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
