According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a motor vehicle accident occurred in San Angelo on Friday. The crash happened on U.S. Route 87 at around 2 p.m.
According to the reports, a pickup truck and two unknown people were involved in the collision. The driver of the truck traveling towards the left side of the highway drove into a guardrail, veered, rolled over, and caught fire.
The officials stated that both the driver and the passenger in the vehicle suffered significant injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. The San Angelo Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of the unknown deceased person.
The accident is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
