2 people killed after a traffic collision in Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA)

On Friday, two people lost their lives while another suffered injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Bakersfield.

As per the initial information, the fatal car crash took place at around 4 a.m. on Herring Road and Old River Road. The early reports showed that a westbound black Sedan failed to yield at a stop sign when a southbound semi-truck crashed into it.

Due to the impact, the Sedan overturned on the shoulder of the freeway. According to the officials, two of the three occupants of the Sedan succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The third occupant was seriously injured. The big rig driver remained unharmed in the accident. No other details are made available.

An investigation is ongoing.
