On Tuesday morning, two people suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle wreck on Clearwater Avenue in Kennewick.
The three-vehicle pile-up took place at about 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of W. Clearwater Avenue and S. Sunnyvale Drive. This is in the area between W. 10th Ave. and I-82. On arrival, medics transported two people to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. According to the reports, officers arranged a K9 and a drone in order to detain the person who fled from the scene.
The reports also indicated that the person ran towards Steptoe Street. Officers controlled a drone from a parking lot on the corner of W. Clearwater Avenue and Steptoe Street. The search put a local school in Kennewick on lockdown. No other details are immediately available.
