On Thursday morning, two people suffered injuries following a multi-vehicle wreck in Spring Valley.
As per the initial information, the five-vehicle pile-up took place at the intersection of Flamingo Road and Jones Boulevard. The preliminary reports showed that four vehicles were stopped at the intersection when another vehicle slammed into the back of a stopped car. That initiated a chain reaction of crashes.
On arrival, emergency crews took two people to nearby hospitals with non-fatal injuries. The driver of the at-fault vehicle was placed into custody for suspected impairment. The roads in the area were shut down as crews worked at the scene. No other details are available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
