On Sunday, a man and a woman lost their lives following a single-vehicle accident in west Houston.
As per the initial information, the fatal crash took place at about 3 a.m. on the southbound feeder road of Interstate 10 and W Sam Houston Pkwy N. The early reports indicated that a car crashed into a concrete support pylon. On arrival, firefighters freed the occupants of the car, a man and woman, from the vehicle. Both the victims died of their injuries at the scene.
According to the officials, the victims are believed to be in their 20s. It is unknown what led up to the accident, but authorities believe that alcohol was involved. The identities of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
