According to the Uvalde Police, a multi-vehicle accident was reported on Wednesday.
The officials reported that the crash began with a chase when Border Patrol agents started pursuing a vehicle.
Uvalde Police Department Chief Daniel Rodriguez stated that a truck tractor was struck which led to a chain of crashes.
The incident happened at Main and Getty at around 6 p.m.
Officials reported that two people died at the scene and 10 other people were rushed to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The officials are yet to identify the deceased victims.
The crash is being investigated to confirm whether drugs, alcohol, or reckless driving was also a factor involved in the fatal crash.
