19-year-old Yousef Alsudani dead after a multi-vehicle accident in Dearborn (Dearborn, MI)

On Wednesday night, 19-year-old Yousef Alsudani lost his life following a crash involving a semi-truck in Dearborn.

As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of eastbound Ford Road near Maple at about 7 p.m. after getting reports of a multi-vehicle wreck. The early reports revealed that a Buick sedan, driven by Yousef Alsudani, from Dearborn, was heading east on Ford Road, when the car sideswiped a semi-truck and then a Toyota sedan before flipping onto its roof.

Alsudani was listed in critical condition at Beaumont Hospital before he was flown to Ann Arbor where he later succumbed to his injuries. The passenger of the Buick incurred only minor injuries and was later released from the hospital. The driver of the semi remained unharmed in the accident, whereas the driver of the Toyota received a minor injury and later released from the hospital.

No other occupants in the Toyota received any injuries as a result of the crash. At this time, it is unclear if intoxicants played a factor in the wreck. Officials shut down Ford Road for hours as crews worked at the scene. No other details are immediately available.

An investigation is ongoing.
