The Phoenix Police Department reported a motor vehicle crash in southeast Phoenix on Thursday night. The accident happened close to Southern Avenue and 30th Street at around 9 p.m.
According to the authorities, 19-year-old Juan Partida was driving west when he struck a tree. When emergency personnel arrived, Partida had already passed away at the scene. He was the single occupant in the car.
A factor being looked into is speed. Whether drugs or alcohol were involved is yet to be found.
The fatal crash is being investigated by the officials. Further details regarding the collision are not available currently.
