Police reported a single-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck on Tuesday evening. The crash happened at Walter Jones and Global Reach around 6 p.m.
A preliminary investigation reveals Eddie Duran, 19, was driving a Tan Kia Caedenza eastbound on Walter Jones at a high rate of speed. Duran lost control of his Kia and traveled to the right, and struck a curb. It crashed into the semi-truck.
Duran was transported to the hospital for serious injuries.
According to the police, speed is suspected to be a factor in the crash.
