18-year-old girl dead after an auto-pedestrian collision on the East Side (San Antonio, TX)

On Wednesday, an 18-year-old girl lost her life after being hit by a car on the East Side.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place a little after 10:30 p.m. on Martin Luther King Drive and Lacey Street. The early reports showed that an 18-year-old girl was crossing the street when she got struck by a car.

The area was reportedly dark and the girl was wearing dark clothing at the time of the collision. The driver stopped and called for help. On arrival, emergency personnel rushed the victim to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. No further details were provided.

The incident remains under investigation.
