The Cass County Sheriff’s Office responded to a car crash on Peavine Street In Pokagon Township. The crash happened on Sunday around 8:34 p.m. that injured a person.
A preliminary investigation revealed Alex Foster, 18, was driving east on Peavine Street when he lost control of his vehicle in the curve, down an embankment, and struck a tree.
Foster sustained minor injuries and was taken to Borgess Lee Memorial by Ambulance.
Speed is suspected to be a factor in the crash. Foster was restrained during the crash.
Drugs or alcohol do not seem to be a factor in the crash. An investigation into the crash is under review.
Pokagon Tribal Police, Indian Lake Fire Department, Pride Care Ambulance, and the Pokagon Fire Department assisted at the crash scene.
