17-year-old Christopher Davis died after a two-vehicle accident south of Bakersfield (Bakersfield, CA)

Authorities identified 17-year-old Christopher Davis as the teenager who lost his life following a traffic accident Saturday morning south of Bakersfield.

As per the initial information, the fatal car accident occurred at around 9:45 a.m. on Adobe Road and David Road. The preliminary reports showed that a Ford Mustang and a Toyota Tundra collided with each other for unknown reasons.

The driver of the Ford, identified as Christopher Davis, died of his injuries at the scene. The driver of the pickup was taken to a hospital with moderate injuries. The cause of the crash remains unknown at this time. No other details are available.

An investigation is ongoing.
