10-year-old girl and 13-year-old girl injured after a two-vehicle accident in Glendale (Glendale, AZ)

Two young girls sustained injuries following a traffic collision Saturday in Glendale.

As per the initial information, the two-vehicle accident took place near 51st and Northern avenues. The preliminary reports showed that a vehicle was heading west on Northern Avenue this morning and did not stop at a traffic light. This caused the vehicle to crash into another car traveling east that was attempting to make a left turn on 47th Avenue. The vehicles smashed into each other within the intersection.

Two preteen girls, ages 10 and 13, were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. The girls had facial lacerations due to the crash. The driver of the first vehicle stayed at the scene and talked to authorities. Impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the accident. No other details are available.
