On Sunday, a driver incurred serious injuries after his vehicle crashed into the right shoulder wall of the San Diego (405) Freeway in Inglewood.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place at around 6:15 a.m. on the northbound 405 freeway, at the Manchester Boulevard off-ramp. The early reports showed that a driver slammed their vehicle into the right shoulder of the San Diego 405 Freeway for reasons that are yet to be known.
At 6:38 a.m., officers responded to the scene and, on arrival, found the driver pinned inside the vehicle. At 6:39 a.m., emergency personnel rescued and rushed the victim to the hospital with unspecified injuries. At 6:41 a.m., officials announced a Sig alert, closing the connector road to the northbound 405 Freeway south of Manchester Boulevard.
The Sig Alert was canceled at 9:20 a.m. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear at this time. No other details are immediately available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
