1 Person Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Phoenix (Phoenix, AZ)

The Phoenix Police Department reported a pedestrian accident on Monday. 

The accident occurred on Grand Avenue, northwest of 35th Avenue and Indian School Road at around 7 p.m. 

Acording to the officials, the victim was standing in the curb lane on Grand Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle going northwest. The vehicle did not stop and kept going. 

The fire crews pronounced the victim to be dead at the scene. 

The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed. 

The cause of the fatal accident is being investigated right now. 

It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. 

The officials have not provided a description of the suspect vehicle. 

There are no other details available at this time.
