According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported in Grass Valley.
Officials confirmed that one person died and one person was injured due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred in the area of state Route 49 and La Barr Meadows Road. Two vehicles struck each other head-on.
As a result of this, one person was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Another person was hospitalized sustaining injuries.
No further details including the identities of the victims or the descriptions of the vehicles involved have been released yet.
