Officials state that a multi-vehicle accident took place in San Antonio sometime on Tuesday. The incident occurred on 281 near the Josephine exit downtown. 

Police say that 3 cars were involved, and left the driver of a red Jeep was injured. First responders extricated the pinned driver out of the Jeep and took him to the hospital with injuries. 

The injuries were deemed non-life threatening shortly after.

Traffic was shut down for about 45 minutes until the official reopened 281.
