According to the Auburn Police Department, a single-vehicle crash was reported on Saturday.
The officials stated that a motorcyclist was traveling from Gold Country Fair in Auburn when he crashed his vehicle near Auburn Folsom Road and College Way.
The incident occurred at around 6:45 p.m.
The preliminary investigation report stated that the suspect was driving under the influence and was carrying a concealed, loaded handgun at the time of the crash.
The unknown rider was then transported to a hospital with moderate injuries.
He has been charged with suspicion of driving under the influence and a fire-arm-related charge by the Auburn Police.
The officials did not disclose the identity of the victim.
