According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Wednesday.
The officials stated that the crash happened at around 5:04 a.m. after a car crashed into the sand barrels at the Bay Bridge Toll Plaza.
Officials reported that the driver suffered minor injuries from the crash.
The identity of the victim was not provided by the CHP.
No additional information regarding the crash was provided.
The CHP is yet to determine whether drugs, alcohol or reckless driving was the factor involved in the crash.
The crash led to the closure of one of the lanes of the Bay Bridge Toll Plaza.
