Official traffic reports from Monday state that a motor vehicle accident blocked an intersection near the westbound exit of Jone Boulevard and the 215 Beltway in the Southwest valley in an incident involving an ambulance. The accident is reported to have occurred in the afternoon.
Reports detail that an ambulance was traveling on Jones responding to an emergency call as a semi-tractor trailer was exiting the 215. The ambulance collided with the semi as the semi was beginning to turn at a green light.
1 of the 3 occupants of the ambulance (employees) was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigations are currently ongoing to determine if the ambulance was responsible for the multi-vehicle incident.
