1 person injured after a single-vehicle crash in New Orleans (New Orleans, LA)

On Friday morning, one person was injured after a tractor-trailer went off Interstate 10 in New Orleans.

As per the initial information, the single-vehicle crash was reported at about 3:38 a.m. on I-10 near exit 234. The preliminary investigation showed that a truck traveling westbound on Interstate 10 near exit 234 struck the guardrail and went through the concrete barrier. After that, the truck landed on the ground below the interstate.

On arrival, emergency crews transported the driver to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Officials stated that there will be intermittent closures during the day in the right lane of the interstate near the canal as crews work at the scene. No further details were provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
