On Friday, a man suffered critical injuries following a high-speed crash on the Northeast Side.
As per the initial information, the single-vehicle accident took place at about 12:30 a.m. on Interstate 35 and Eisenhauer Road. The early reports showed that the man was traveling at a high rate of speed when he attempted to make the turn around. He failed to maintain control of the vehicle and crashed.
On arrival, firefighters had to cut the roof of the car to extricate the man, who was trapped inside. The man was transported to the hospital with critical injuries. Officers found alcohol inside the vehicle and will test the driver for a DWI at the hospital. No other details are made available.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
