According to the San Jose Police, a motorcycle crash occurred in San Jose on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash happened at the intersection of Santa Teresa Boulevard and Lean Avenue at around 2 p.m.
According to the police, a dirt bike and a 2018 Tesla were involved in the collision.
The officials stated that the bike rider was traveling at a high speed west on Santa, ran a red light at the intersection, and crashed into the car.
The identity of the dirt bike rider was not revealed and pronounced dead at the scene by the police.
The Tesla driver was interrogated and rushed to the hospital with minor injuries.
The officials are investigating whether drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, or speed played a factor in the crash.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
