The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reported a motor vehicle crash on Monday evening in Glendale. The accident happened at Dysart Road and Glendale Avenue at around 7:15 p.m.
According to MCSO, a man was struck by a car in the middle of the road. He had incurred fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The name and identity of the victim have not been made public yet.
The responsible driver stayed at the scene. Whether speed, drugs, or alcohol is a factor involved is yet to be found. There are no other details available at this time.
For several hours, Dysart Road will be closed in both directions from Glendale Avenue to Ocotillo Road while authorities conduct a fatal crash investigation. No anticipated time for reopening has been given by the officials.
