1 person dead after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA)

One person died after getting struck by a vehicle Sunday in downtown Los Angeles.

As per the initial information, the fatal auto-pedestrian crash took place on the southbound lanes of the 101 freeway near north Alameda St. The authorities actively responded to the scene after receiving reports of a crash at about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The early reports showed that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle. The victim died of their injuries at the scene. It is unclear if this incident was a hit-and-run. The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. No further details are available.

The incident remains under review.
