On Monday night, one person died after being hit by a vehicle in Renton.
As per the initial information, officers actively responded to the area of NE 12th Street and Sunset Blvd NE at about 7:30 p.m. after getting reports of an auto-pedestrian accident. Initially, it was reported that the pedestrian was injured but later officials confirmed that the victim had died.
The identity of the deceased will be released once the next of kin is notified. Nearby roads were shut down as crews worked at the scene. No other details have been released by the authorities.
The incident remains under investigation.
