1 person dead after a two-vehicle crash in El Segundo (El Segundo, CA)

On Saturday, one person died following a traffic collision in El Segundo.

As per the initial information, the fatal two-vehicle crash was reported at about 1:19 a.m. on the westbound Glenn Anderson (105) Freeway and Nash Street. According to the responding officers, one person died of their injuries at the scene.

Wreckage from the vehicles was scattered over most lanes of the freeway. Authorities announced a Sig Alert to shut down three freeway lanes for an unknown amount of time as crews worked at the scene. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No other details are available.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
