On Tuesday morning, one person was killed following a crash in Idyllwild.
As per the initial information, the fatal single-vehicle accident took place at about 10:30 a.m. on Highway 243 near Twin Pines Road. The preliminary investigation showed that a vehicle swerved off the two-lane corridor and crashed into a rock pile for undetermined reasons.
Firefighters witnessed the crash and provided first aid to the patient. The victim suffered major injuries and was later declared dead at the scene by the officials. The identity of the deceased will be revealed once the next of kin is notified. No further details were provided.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
