1 person dead after a hit-and-run crash in Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA)

One person was killed after a two-vehicle collision Tuesday in the Canoga Park neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles.

As per the initial information, the fatal hit-and-run crash took place at about 12:23 a.m. on Victory Boulevard and De Soto. The emergency crews actively responded to the location and, on arrival, saw a wreck with traffic lights down including telephone poles.

According to the authorities, the driver of the vehicle that crashed into a pole was declared dead at the scene, and the driver of the truck left the scene. There was a severely bent pole and a traffic light was found on the ground following the wreck. Officials are searching for one suspect that fled the scene. No other details are available.

The incident remains under active review.
